CV.: Ejvind Nielsen was born and raised in the countryside in Fyn, Denmark.
In his early adult years, he was doing farm work in the local area, until
he started his studies to become a schoolteacher. While working as a schoolteacher
in Aarhus, Ejvind Nielsen graduated the courses at the Faculty of Theology
and started working part-time as a priest at
Ravnsbjerg church. From 1986
until 2004 he was working fulltime as a priest in the church mentioned above.
Today he has retired from his work as a priest, and is now working fulltime
as an artist with a special interest in painting and sculpturing. This work
has been a passionate on-the-side profession since the early 1990's. The religious
existentialistic influence is easily spotted in many of the motives of his
paintings and in even more of his sculptures.
